As of 1 September, the mentoring process will be complete and each of the participating Emerging Opportunities will submit their written business plan, in its final form, to a panel of judges for review and scoring. Based on the outcome of this judging, a total of 3 or 4 Finalists will be selected for further participation in the BIO/Plan Competition.
The Finalists will then proceed to prepare a PowerPoint presentation for their plan (in the standard SEBIO 12-minute presentation format). Further support and involvement by the Finalist’s Mentoring Team for this activity will be at the discretion of the individual members of the Mentoring Team.
The 3 or 4 BIO/Plan Competition Finalists will present their business opportunity to the entire conference of attendees at the annual Southeastern BIO Investor Forum where a panel of celebrity judges from the venture community will judge the presentation of the business plan and add their scores to the earlier written plan scores to determine the overall winner of the BIO/Plan Competition. |
