Early-Stage Company Presentations and Mentoring Sessions (8:30am-2:00pm)
Each company selected for the Early-Stage Event will have the opportunity to present its "elevator pitch," PowerPoint presentation, and business plan to a specially selected Advisory Panel made up of early-stage venture capitalists, angel investors, and business and legal advisors with specifically relevant expertise.

Early-Stage Luncheon Keynote Panel (11:30am-1:00pm)
Have Money, Will Travel: Perspective of Out-of-Region Investors Financing Southeastern Companies
Some active out-of-state venture funds will discuss the success they have had investing in the Southeast region. The panel will talk about strategies for sourcing deals and share their experiences with regional companies. Speakers will discuss changes in the regional entrepreneurial community over the last decade as well as their perspective on the key strengths and issues in working with Southeastern start-ups.

Early Stage Company Shootout (3:00pm-4:15pm)
At the end of the four concurrent Mentoring Sessions, each Advisory Panel will select the single, best presentation and opportunity from their group and nominate that company to present its opportunity to the entire conference at the Early-Stage Shootout. A panel of celebrity judges, made up of senior venture capitalists, will assess each participant on the quality of their presentation, the viability of the venture, and the overall fundability of the opportunity. Finally, the judges will score and tabulate their assessments and select an overall winner of the competition. The four Early-Stage Shoutout finalists will be recognized during the forum.

Kick-off Reception - Georgia Aquarium (Buses depart 4:30pm)
Exclusive viewing for SEBIO attendees 5:00pm-7:00pm; Reception 5:30pm-8:00pm
The Georgia Aquarium opened on November 23, 2005 as the World's Largest Aquarium. During the advanced viewing, explore 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water containing more than 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe. The Reception will be held in the Oceans Ballroom, which features a spectacular aquarium viewing window.
