
The SEBIO Investor Forum is the Southeast region's premier life sciences venture capital conference, connecting emerging life science companies with potential investors in a forum that provides meaningful networking opportunities. Since 1999, Southeast BIO, a regional organization dedicated to promoting the growth of the biotech industry in the Southeastern United States, has presented the annual SEBIO Investor Forum.
Attracting more than 400 attendees, including investors from the Southeast and from around the world, SEBIO showcases more than 30 emerging life sciences companies from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and beyond each year.
Since 1999, 160 venture-backed companies have presented at the Forum, and 120 seed stage companies have participated in the early-stage event. More than $2.5 billion in public and private funding has been raised by former SEBIO presenters.
Since 1999, there have been over 160 presenting companies, over 120 companies participating in the early-stage program and 20 competing in the BIO/Plan Competition. SEBIO participants have gone on to raise over $2.5 billion in public and private funding.
The SEBIO Investor Forum has rotated around the Southeast over the years, including: 1999 - Atlanta, GA; 2000 - Chapel Hill, NC; 2001 - Birmingham, AL; 2002 - Atlanta, GA; 2003 - Pinehurst, NC; 2004 - Miami, FL; 2005 - Charleston, SC; 2006 - Atlanta, GA; 2007 – Pinehurst, NC; 2008 – Palm Beach, FL.
